Uniform and Appearance at the Aux-04 C-School:
Uniform
At the Aux-04 C-School, the uniform is Tropical Blue Long with the garrison cap. There are no exceptions to this requirement. ODUs are forbidden at C-Schools. If you want to attend a C-School, you must have the Tropical Blue Long uniform
The details on the required uniform can be found in chapter 10 of the Auxiliary Manual. Attention should be given to ensure you have the required name tag, and shoulder boards as well as ribbons and devices.
Since most C-Schools are held on active duty Coast Guard bases, students are held to the same strict standards of our active duty counterparts.
As specified in Chapter 10, section C.3.n. of the Auxiliary Manual, both men and women are required to have their hair up off the collar when in uniform. If you need a haircut, please get it before coming to the C-School to avoid the embarrassment of being asked to go to the base barber shop.
Cell Phone Usage:
Auxiliarists are allowed to use cell phones while in uniform, but while on a Coast Guard base, you must stop and remain stationary while using the phone. Walking and talking (as well as driving) are not permitted in uniform.
